About
My insights provided in this program stem from my personal education, double diploma in Kinesiology and Mind Body Medicine, along with further studies and courses I've pursued. The area I am focusing on struck me as one with tremendous potential for aiding others, what resonated with me was the significant impact that retained primitive reflexes and an overstimulated nervous system can have on children with sensory needs and learning difficulties, which appears to be increasingly common in today's society. This course is not a diagnostic tool, it is designed to deepen your understanding of the human body by consolidating various resources into a comprehensive guide that will serve as a valuable reference for years to come. It also raises awareness about the signs that may indicate a retained reflex, which will hinder development. Eg behaviour challenges, speech problems, balance or co-ordination, delayed handwriting skills, anxiety, toe walking, sleep issues, eczema, immunity. A few minutes a day can make a huge difference! Studies indicate that challenges with left and right brain integration results in not only motor difficulties but also cognitive challenges, greatly complicating a child's developmental journey and potentially leading to feelings of sadness, anger, and frustration. You will receive a "go at your own pace" program, printable PDF file of all the information, a combination of written text, meaningful movement and nervous system regulation instructions and exercise videos to help you and your loved ones. Certainly, retained primitive reflexes are not always the culprit, but they should not be dismissed until they have been ruled out. Through nervous system regulation, targeted exercises and specific movements, we aim to give the brain a second chance to ultimately integrate the reflex as intended. Consequently, this means that the behaviors, challenges, and delays a child has experienced due to the reflex will be resolved. With love, Marni
